If we dig a little deep, originally the lodge was a home to a British man named George Morgan which was built in the year 1930′s and was deserted after the death of Lady Morgan. Since then it is believed that is it the ghost of Lady Morgan that keeps haunting the place. Also, people who have come for staying at this haunted hotel reported that they have heard the weird sounds of a lady walking in heels in the corridor.

Situated in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, Hotel Savoy was inspired behind Agatha Christie’s first novel- The mysterious Affair at Styles in 1920. I hope now you can imagine the creeps about the place. Visiting the hotel you would feel like you have entered into a fairy tale because of its white coloured walls. Here comes the haunted story associated with the hotel when it is believed that a lady ghost have been haunting this beautifully architectured hotel since 1910 when Lady Garnet Orme was found dead at the hotel. The tourists and other people staying there have come across how the ghost of the lady haunts the walls and other spaces of the hotel. What adds mystery and horror to the story is, the Doctor who tried finding out about the murder was too found dead in the same situation.

Visiting Fern Hill Hotel in Ooty which is yet another ghostly getaway where you would feel like living the classic British era because of it amazing architecture. If you are a Bollywood fan and have watched the movie ‘Raaz’ which was shot Ooty, you could now imagine the next horrifying incident which I am going to share. One night after the shoot, the team of Raaz including the famous choreographer Saroj Khan experienced some strange activity in the hotel like the creepy sound of the furniture moving to the first floor. Out of fear, they tried calling the receptionist. Next morning, when they tried to bring forward the incident to the hotel staff, they were surprised and said that there was no first floor. Isn’t it really scary??? After the incident, the hotel got shut for a while due to the paranormal activities.

4. Hotel Brij Raj Bhawan, Kota

Being one of the most beautiful heritage hotels in Rajasthan, Hotel Brij Raj Bhavan in Kota is yet another spookiest haunted hotels to visit which was originally a home to a royal family in Kota which is somewhat 178 years old structure. In the year 1980 the property was turned into a hotel but since then many visitors have come up experiencing paranormal activities. The haunted story related to Hotel Brij Raj Bhawan is such that it is believed that there is a ghost of Major Burton, a British official, who stayed here with his family for about 13 years during the mutiny of 1857. Reports found out that the ghost of Major Burton has been sighted walking in the corridors of the hotel. Also, it might sound funny but it was found that the ghost slapped the guard who fell asleep while he was on his night duty. Other than this, the queen of Kota also shared her experience of such creepy incident in the hotel.

The guests who have stayed here, reported their experiences to have taken place from a room in the corner behind the reception of this hotel. One such incident is, the guests staying the room were thrilled when they found their bedsheet being slightly pulled off when they were asleep. Also, the witness a ray of blue light when waking up at midnight. The current scenario is that the hotel management has stopped providing rooms to the guests anymore. But the locals believe and have found out it to be haunted as they have heard it from the guests who have stayed here. 8. Hotel Around Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad

Talking about the film city, one could connect the spirits and ghosts with the list of Bollywood movies. The film city was built on the battlefield of Nizams, and it is strongly believed to be haunted by the ghosts of the those who died in the war. Why I have listed the hotels around the film city as haunted because the guests and film-making staff have experienced strange supernatural activities around the hotels which were truly hair-raising. Some of the incidents include the the lights falling off from the roof, light men being pushed off, Urdu words inscribed on the mirror and leftover food found scattered all over.

9. The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai

I hope you are not going to call me crazy after reading this but this is true. Yes the famous Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai is also supposed to be among the most haunted hotels in the country. It isn’t just me but the guests who have paid a visit to the hotel and even the staff have experienced the paranormal activities in the premises of the hotel. The story associated with it is- The architect of this hotel W.A Chambers, has left for England after creating the blueprint of the hotel. After returning back from England he committed suicide, jumping off from the fifth floor as he found the design of hotel to not go according to his actual architectural plan. Today, the ghost of Chamber can be noticed walking in the old wing of the hotel which have been witnessed by both the guests as well as the hotel staffs.

10. Ghost Hotel, Goa

Travelling to Goa? Well, the hotel was to be built by the Russians but due to the legal twist and few other complications they had to leave the country and their half-built hotel project behind. Perhaps it was during that time when they sighted the spine-chilling activities as the places is reported to have sighted many ghosts. Also, it is the atmosphere surrounding the area that has empty spaces and the jungle adding spooky touch to the incomplete hotel. If nothing you can make a visit to this most haunted incomplete building in India (only if you are somebody who isn’t scared of such activities).
