It encourages people of all ASEAN nations to run both in their own country and in other ASEAN countries and to record their accumulated distances, which all goes towards a target accumulative distance for the initiative of 652,190 km – a figure equivalent to the current ASEAN population and an amount to be converted into donations to UNICEF.

Initially to conclude on 8 August, 2019, the ‘ASEAN Together Run 2019’ virtual running event has been extended and will continue through to 31 December, 2019. To date, results compiled by TAT show a total accumulative distance of 206,961 km has been achieved by 1,772 runners, of which 332 have run in more than one country.
